#happy35: A photo challenge

To continue the yearlong celebration of our 35th birthday, Adarna House is launching #happy35, a photo challenge for our beloved readers!

1. The contest is open to individuals residing in the Philippines, except for book creators and employees of Adarna House and The Raya School and the members of their immediate family.

2. To join the contest, participants are challenged to post a photo on social media within the contest period of August 1 to 31, 2015. The photo should include an Adarna House book and reflect the spirit of happiness in reading and being Filipino.

3. Participants should choose one (1) social media platform to use (Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram) and post their photo on that account with the title of the book and the hashtags #AdarnaHouse and #happy35.

4. Adarna House will acknowledge the post with a Like, Favorite, or Heart. Facebook posts and Twitter/Instagram accounts should be public so that the posts can be acknowledged.

5. The photo with the most number of Likes, Favorites, or Hearts by 5:00 PM of August 31, 2015 will be the Crowd Favorite to receive TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED PESOS (PHP2,500) in cash, and a gift certificate for TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED PESOS (PHP2,500).

6. The 10 photos with the most number of Likes, Favorites, or Hearts by 5:00 PM of August 31, 2015 will also form a shortlist, from which Adarna House staff will vote for an Adarna Choice to receive TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED PESOS (PHP2,500) in cash, and a gift certificate for TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED PESOS (PHP2,500).

7. Participants may post multiple photos as entries, but each entry may only be posted on 1 social media platform, e.g. if one posts an entry to Facebook, the same entry will be disqualified on Twitter and Instagram.

8. Official announcement of winners will be made on September 2, 2015 through our blog, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.

9. Prizes will be given in a celebration to be held on 19 September 2015 (Saturday) at the Manila International Book Fair (SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City).

10. The 2,500-peso gift certificates may be used to purchase books from the Adarna House booth at MIBF.

11. Photos will remain the property of participants. To use any of the photos entered into the contest, Adarna House will request the explicit permission of the owner.
