KAYA Organisation invites reading advocates to share their love of books by donating to students in Surigao City for only PHP270 to PHP 450!
In a joint project with Adarna House, KAYA is encouraging supporters and donors to buy book bundles for beneficiaries in Surigao City, one of which is the Surigao Children’s Library and Activity Center (SCLA). A small local library, it offers services like book lending, reading/storytelling, film showing, and games. It conducts monthly learning visits to a nearby day care center and summer workshops/lectures. The library has approximately 3000 books, but most are outdated and worn. The library is very accessible to three (3) public schools, including Clementino V. Diez Memorial Central Elementary School.

KAYA Organisation (KAYA) is a non-profit organization that envisions an educated, empowered and poverty-free Caraga. Its mission is to break the cycle of poverty in the region by empowering the community through education and learning. One of KAYA’s goals is to build a community of life-long learners by improving literacy and fostering a reading culture.
