September is fast approaching and to us in the book publishing industry, that could only mean one thing: it’s crunch time for the Manila International Book Fair!
To those who are unfamiliar with the MIBF, let us say that this is THE book industry event of the year. Think of it as a HUGE warehouse sale, where you can all the local publishers, local representatives of international publishers, and major book stores. Then you’ll see why those who are familiar with the event see it as that one ultimate book-hunting opportunity one should save up for.
This year, at our booth, we’ll be offering boxes upon boxes of bargain storybooks (Php 35.00 each). Just note that those boxes usually empty up on the first day because of bulk buyers, so it would be good to come by really early! Our brand-new storybooks will be selling for Php 55.00 each, so that’s still a very good reason to drop by our booth, apart from our usual storytelling, book-signing, and face-painting activities.
Then on 6PM of September 17th (Saturday), we will be launching our new books at the MIBF stage area. Bring your kids along to meet our authors and illustrators, dance with Pilandok, win prizes from our games, join the storytelling session, and get Adarna House merchandise — all for free!
