2020 Klasrum Adarna Kids

Introducing Klasrum Adarna Kids, a series of summer workshops this 2020!

Depending on their age, kids can experience creating stories, characters, comics, and the process of making a picture book! These workshops aim to unleash the child’s creative potential, hone artistic skills, build self-confidence, and help participants make new friends.

All workshops will be held at Piedras Platas Workshop Room, Adarna 2, 109 Scout Fernandez corner Scout Torillo Streets, Barangay Sacred Heart, Quezon City.

Frequently Asked Questions

My child is new to the topic. Will he/she be able to follow?
Yes. The workshops are designed for beginners, but an interest in the topic will help the child have a more fruitful experience.

My child is younger/older than the ages specified for the workshop. Can he/she join?
No. To help our facilitator manage the class well for a more productive workshop, we are minimizing the age range of participants.

My child has special needs. Can he/she join?
Yes. However, our facilitators are not professionally trained to teach children with special needs. For best outcomes, we will require that the child be accompanied by a parent/guardian who is familiar with the child’s needs.

I’ve registered my child, what will he/she need to bring?
Should participants need to bring any materials, we will make sure that these are easily sourced and we will provide a list at least one week before the start of the workshop.

Do we need to complete all the days in the workshop?
No, but we recommend attending all the sessions to make the most out of the class. Some workshops may also guide participants through the steps of creating output, so missing out on a session might put unwanted pressure on the child to complete a project.

Can the guardian/parents stay in the workshop area?
Companions are required to stay in the hall beside the workshop area or at the bookshop while they wait for the kids. However, guardians/parents of children with special needs are required to shadow their kids during the workshop.

Will Adarna House provide snacks for the participants?
No. Adarna House will not provide snacks but participants are encouraged to bring their own. There will be a water dispenser in the workshop area so personal water containers will be helpful.

Are walk-ins allowed?
No. Adarna House will be preparing materials ahead of time, so we will need participants to be preregistered.

Will there be a graduation/recognition ceremony at the end of the workshop?
Yes. The very last part of the workshop will be an awarding of certificates and a simple presentation of the participants’ output.

How do I fulfill payment?
Bank deposit details will be provided upon completion of the sign-up form. (http://bit.ly/klasrumkids2020).

How do I avail of the early bird rates?
To avail early bird rates, email an image of the deposit at least one month before the start of the workshop.

Can I pay just part of the workshop fee for now to confirm my slot?
Slots are confirmed upon full payment on a first-come, first-served basis. Filling up the sign-up form (http://bit.ly/klasrumkids2020) will reserve your slot. When our sign-ups are full, we will ask whether we should continue holding your reservation or if we can give your slot away to new sign-ups. We might impose an earlier payment deadline in this instance.

My kid can’t join the workshop anymore but I already paid in full. Can I get a refund?
A full refund will be given in instances of cancellations at least ten (10) working days before the start of the workshop. No refunds, partial or in full, will be provided otherwise.

Notes:

1. Participants are not allowed to leave the premises of Adarna House during the sessions. Participants will be staying inside Adarna House’s premises.

2. The workshop will push through only if there are 10 confirmed attendees. We will inform you in advance if the workshop is canceled. Refunds will be made accordingly. Unless otherwise notified, the workshop will take place.
