Last Friday, twenty-four kids graduated from the first wave of Adarna House’s book-making workshop. Storyteller Kathi Charcos called the kids one by one to present them with their finished projects.
For the four Fridays of April, all 24 participants wrote their own story, and made the illustrations for their narratives, with the help of author May Tobias-Papa and illustrator Hubert Fucio. Last Friday, the kids received their finished books, read the blurbs of their story, and introduced their project to their classmates.
The second run of the book-making workshop starts on May 9, 2008.
