We have finalized our line up of bargain events for 2012! Can you say ‘Happy New  Year!’? Of course, we’ll be sending out reminders when the events are nearing. Nevertheless, here’s our list so you can already mark the dates on your planner.

• March 17 (morning) – 40 for 40
  Buy up to 40 storybooks for only 40 pesos each!
  
  
• March 17 (afternoon) – For Day Care Centers
  Day Care Workers can buy an unlimited amount of storybooks for 40 pesos each. Official ID required.
  
  
• May 15 – Preschool Sale
  Purchase packages of our preschool books at a much lower price! Get discounts on other products if you show your ID as a preschool teacher.
  
  
• May 15 to June 15 – Back-to-School Sale
  Bargain books available during first 2 days. Brand new storybooks at 60 pesos each. Other titles discounted up to 30% off!
  
  
• June 16 (morning) – Big Book Sale
  Buy brand new big books at only 150 pesos each (from the original price of Php275). Purchase 10 or more, and attend a Teaching Beginning Reading Primer in the afternoon for free!
  
  
• Sept 12 to 16 – Manila International Book Fair
  Bargain books available during first 2 days. Brand new storybooks at 55 pesos each. Selected titles up to 35% off!
  
  
• Dec 1 to 20 – Christmas Sale
  Bargain books available during first 2 days. Brand new storybooks at 60 pesos each. Other titles discounted up to 30% off!

All events, except for the MIBF, will be held at the Adarna House Showroom, which is open Mondays through Saturdays, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Back-to-School SALE!

We know you’d be really sad to hear that we’ll be increasing our prices by June 1, with our storybooks at Php 73.00 and our big books at Php 275.00.  This is the first time we’re increasing our prices after almost 5 years, so we understand your misery, and we are grateful to know that you understand ours.

But we can’t just do that without a big send-off party to our old prices.  So please join us as we say a proud goodbye to our 65-peso storybooks with a month-long sale where they will be sold at only 50 pesos each.   Selected items will also be on sale, for up to 70% off!  Yehey!

To avail of these huge discounts, come and visit us at our showroom (2/F FSS Building, 20 Scout Tuason corner Scout Castor Streets, Barangay Laging Handa, Quezon City) from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Mondays through Saturdays, from May 3 to May 31.

30 for 30 book blowout

It’s our 30th birthday, and we are treating you to an exciting sale:  for an hour in 2010, you can buy 30 storybooks for only 30 pesos each from our showroom.

On March 20, 2010 (a Saturday), all Adarna House  storybooks — worth 65 pesos on regular occasions — will be on sale for 30 pesos each from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.   On that morning, the showroom doors will only be open for that fateful hour.  The rest of the morning, only Adarna House staff will be allowed to enter the showroom.

The thirty-peso purchases will be limited to 30 books per person, so books in excess of the 30 books have to be purchased at regular price.  Not to worry, all customers who enter the showroom during the given sale period will be allowed to stay in the showroom beyond 11:00 AM  in order to settle their purchases.  After 11:00 AM, selling of 30-peso books will stop, only the books in the hands of customers by 11:00 AM will be considered for the sale.

So.  10:00 AM.  March 20.  Mark your calendars.

Adarna House Christmas Showroom Sale

See you at the MIBF!

We hope you come and support the local publishing industry in the upcoming Manila International Book Fair.  It will be held from September 12 to 16, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, at the SMX Convention Center in the Mall of Asia Complex.

All the significant Philippine publishers and bookstores will be there, selling their books at a discount.  There will also be workshops presented by the Philippine Board on Books for Young People.  The exhibit of 25 life-sized sculptures of children’s book characters will also be there.

Of course, please don’t forget to visit the Adarna House booth, where you’re sure to find your favorite authors and illustrators, along with our new titles for 2008.  Tag some kids along as well, because we have a magic show, storytelling sessions, and mascot appearances lined up for them!
