Kayang-Kaya wins Manguna sa Unang Pagbasa contest

Save the Children’s First Read and Adarna House congratulate Alyssa Judith Reyes for winning the second run of “Manguna sa Unang Pagbasa: Short Story Writing Contest,” with her story Kayang-Kaya. Reyes, a teacher from Parañaque City, will receive a fifteen thousand-peso cash prize from Save the Children, while the winning work will be published by Adarna House in 2017.

First Read is an Early Childhood Care and Development project of Save the Children, together with Prudence Foundation, that aims to improve the emergent literacy and numeracy of children aged 0-4 years old. It encourages families with preschool-aged children to learn together with the support of their communities.
