Metrobank Foundation’s Network of Outstanding Teachers and Educators (NOTED) chose 3 Adarna House titles to be part of the National Book Development Board’s list of Highly Recommended Supplementary Materials. The titles are Displaced (Aneka Rodriguez), Naku, Nakuu, Nakuuu! (Nanoy Rafael and Sergio Bumatay III), and WiKAHON.
According to the NBDB website,
“Books included in the NBDB’s HRSM list will be exhibited at the SM Mega Trade Hall 1 on 27-28 November 2012 as one of the activities to celebrate Philippine Book Development Month. Teachers, principals, and other educators will be encouraged to come to the book fair to view these materials. Also, the NBDB and the DepEd will distribute this list to schools all over the country to guide administrators in selecting books for supplementary reading and library acquisition. “
Adarna House’s display during the Book Fair will include the 3 books and 83 more titles bearing the seals of the National Book Award, Gintong Aklat, and the Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature, and/or written by National Artists or Palanca Hall of Famers.
