[UPDATE: We thank everyone who shared our post and registered for this workshop. We are happy to announce that we have reached our maximum number of participants because of your help. It is a bit bittersweet, though, because we’ve had to turn a lot of interested people down. We promise to get a bigger venue for next year so that we can accommodate more people.]
We would like to invite everyone to a free seminar for parents, health professionals, and day care and preschool teachers on Emergent Literacy. Held in connection with the Manila International Book Fair, this seminar will go from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on September 15 (Saturday), 2012 in Meeting Room 2 at the SMX Convention Center.
This lecture will discuss the benefits of reading to a child, starting from the womb. It will also inform participants of the different milestones in a child’s reading experiences and skills.
Speakers for the seminar will include author and parent, May Tobias Papa; pediatrician and Reach Out and Read member, Dr. Jocelyn Quidlat; and reading expert from the UP College of Education, Dr. Felicitas Pado.
Participants will receive loot bags and free entrance tickets to the Book Fair, so please come and share the information with your friends. To register, please e-mail lance[at]adarna.com.ph, or give Lance a call through 352-6765 local 120. Slots limited.
