Come and join the Reading Association of the Philippines (RAP), the National Affiliate of the International Reading Association (IRA), on its Demofest to be held from November 13 to 15, 2011 in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte.
This year’s gathering of reading teachers, professors, and specialists in the mother tongue, Filipino, and English, will focus on the theme Reading Rizal: Pagsulong sa Kaniyang Adhikain sa Konektadong Daigdig.
The keynote address will be delivered by historian Dr. Ambeth Ocampo of the Ateneo de Manila University. Speakers include Prof. Patrocinio Villafuerte (PNU Filipino Dept.), Dr. Lina Diaz de Rivera (UP College of Education), Dr. Daniel Churchill (University of Hongkong), Hon. Victorino Manalo (National Archives of the Philippines), and Dr. Michael Tan (UP College of Social Science and Philosophy). To enrich the experience of participants, demonstration lessons will be conducted by literacy educators.
Early bird registration for RAP Members of good standing is Php 4,200.00 until October 15, 2011.
