One of the brilliant minds of all time, Albert Einstein said, “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” This especially holds true for the development of children during their formative years.
Recognizing the need for continuous teacher training and inspired by the response to its first conference last year, Fortissimo invites teachers, administrators and parents to the conference Big Circle Time 2009: Meeting the Challenges of Early Childhood Education. The 3-day conference will be held from May 13-15, 2009 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the SEAMEO Innotech along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City.
The conference, which has been endorsed by the Department of Education (Advisory # 65 s. 2009) will have as its Keynote Speaker, Sen. Edgardo J. Angara, himself an advocate of Education. Another notable personality in the industry, Dr. Leticia Penaño-Ho will be talking about Early Intervention for the Classroom Teacher.
Various speakers have also been invited to preside over plenary sessions, concurrent workshops and talks such as Developing Teacher-Leaders, Dealing with Challenging Behavior in the Classroom, Cultural Literacy in the Early Childhood Classroom, and Yoga for Children, among others.
