Molina Wins Salanga Prize Anew

For the second time, the Philippine Board on Books for Young People awards the 2012 PBBY-Salanga Prize to children’s book author, Russell Molina. Molina’s winning story, “Anong Gupit Natin Ngayon?” is a heartwarming story about a child and his father. An advertising executive, Molina, had previously won the PBBY-Salanga for his story “Sandosenang Kuya” in 2003.

Honorable mention went to Felinda Bagas for her story The Little Girl in a Box,” and Segundo Matias for “Ang Papag ni Tatang.”

The 2012 PBBY-Salanga Prize will be awarded at the National Children’s Book Day celebration on July 17, 2012.
